This is 'Baby Bok Choy', the famous Asian green. 40 days to maturity. Cool-warm season. It is often referred to as a nai pe tsai type or dwarf type with white spoon-shaped petioles and dark green glossy leaves. This variety grows best in mild climates and can tolerate heat. It can be grown year round in sub-tropical areas. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost to early summer or late summer/early fall. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Optimum growing temperatures are in the 60s°F. Exposure to frost or prolonged temperatures below 50°F may result in bolting. Mulch fall crops to avoid premature bolting. Harvest when about 4" tall. Use stir-fried, sauteed, braised or add to soup. ~10000 seeds / oz.
