This Pro-tek frame slider kit is made from acetal plastic for strength and durability. It requires no modifications to both fairings. It comes with all steel bolts, mounting hardware and complete instructions needed for installation.The kit contains two acetal pucks with aluminum shims, steel bolts and through rod, two extension and two relocation brackets that clear fairings by an inch.You do not want a slider to stick out too far causing a bike to flip in a crash by snagging on the ground. You want the puck to either touch down and start to grind off or if hit hard enough or direct enough to shatter and absorb the initial crash energy. If the slider shatters, grinds off or bends, it did it's job in absorbing the crash energy. Both 51mm (2") pucks are mounted to the extension brackets and relocation brackets using 10mm x 140mm bolts. They then slide onto the 245mm through rod and are secured with flange nut and lock nut.These frame sliders are brand new in original packaging manufactured in the US from Pro-tek, a leading manufacturer in the motorcycle industry now for over 25 years.Applications2008-2012 Kawasaki Ninja EX-250Frame sliders are mounted onto the front through bolt. Make sure the bike is in a fixed secure position. With a standard floor jack support the engine enough to remove engine stud. To help prevent scratching or damage to the bike when lifting we use a small piece of soft wood on the jack pad. When installing the front rod lightly press down on the radiator hose so the bolt can pass through til it reaches the other side. After rod has been installed, install elbow brackets til they pass through your aluminum brackets, use the 10mm lock-nut on the left side and 10mm serrated nut on the right side to secure the through rod. Install the pucks on both sides using the long 10mm x 140 bolts and long extension brackets to secure to elbow relocation brackets.
